Article 1 – Purpose
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS) govern all online bookings made via the casira.kross.travel platform for the seasonal rental of furnished tourist accommodation managed by Casira. Making a booking implies full and unreserved acceptance of these GTCS.
Article 2 – Booking
- A booking becomes firm and final upon confirmation of availability and receipt of the amount due (deposit or full amount, depending on the selected rate).
- A confirmation email summarizing the dates, price, and conditions is sent to the client.
- The contract is concluded between Casira and the named client; the number of occupants may not exceed the capacity stated in the listing and the number specified at the time the booking is confirmed.
Article 3 – Price and payment
- The price displayed at the time of booking is firm, in euros, and inclusive of all taxes (TTC).
- It includes the rental cost and charges specified on the property listing; unless otherwise stated, it excludes the tourist tax and optional services.
- Secure payment is processed via the payment solutions available on the booking engine.
- Depending on the timing of the booking relative to the stay, payment may be required in a single installment or in two stages (deposit at booking, balance prior to arrival). Specific payment terms are displayed before confirmation.
- The deposit paid at the time of booking is non-refundable in the event of cancellation by the client, subject to the specific cancellation policies applicable to each property (Article 5).
Article 4 – Tourist tax
The tourist tax, set by the local authority, is payable in addition to the cost of the stay. It is collected on behalf of the municipality, at the rate in effect at the time of the stay. Article 5 – Cancellation and modification
- Cancellation terms (full refund, partial refund, or non-refundable) are specific to each property and are displayed prior to booking confirmation.
- All cancellations must be notified in writing (via email) to [email protected].
- In the event of a no-show without prior cancellation, no refund is due.
- Casira reserves the right to cancel a booking in cases of *force majeure* or property unavailability (e.g., damage, dispute with the owner), offering either a full refund of amounts paid or an equivalent property.
Article 6 – Right of withdrawal
In accordance with Article L221-28 (12°) of the Consumer Code, accommodation services provided on a specific date are not subject to the right of withdrawal. Consequently, all bookings are firm upon confirmation, subject to the cancellation terms set out in Article 5.
Article 7 – Arrival and departure
- Check-in and check-out times are specified in the instructions provided prior to the stay.
- Any late arrival or early departure must be notified in advance; neither entitles the guest to a refund.
Article 8 – Security deposit
A security deposit (credit card pre-authorization or cash deposit, depending on the property) may be required prior to or upon arrival. It is returned following the post-stay inspection, less any amounts due for observed damage, loss, or missing items.
Article 9 – Guest obligations
- Comply with the property's maximum occupancy, house rules, and neighborly conduct standards.
- Use the property responsibly and report any malfunctions immediately upon discovery.
- Return the property in the same condition as it was received.
Article 10 – Liability
- Casira acts as the manager/agent for the property owner. - Casira shall not be held liable in the event of force majeure, the actions of a third party, or circumstances beyond its control affecting the stay.
- The client is liable for any damage caused to the accommodation and its furnishings during their stay.
Article 11 – Personal data
Data collected during the booking process is processed in accordance with the privacy policy available at casira.kross.travel/privacy-policy.
Article 12 – Complaints and disputes
- Any complaint must be sent to [email protected] as soon as possible.
- In the absence of an amicable resolution, the client may have recourse to a consumer mediator.
- These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by French law. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts within the district of Casira’s registered office.
Article 13 – Modification of General Terms and Conditions
Casira reserves the right to modify these General Terms and Conditions at any time. The applicable terms are those in effect on the date of the booking.
